Repair & Reuse

Current Season: September 2026–April 2027

Repair & Reuse is an ongoing series of hands-on textile repair workshops at the Anchorage Museum, taught in collaboration with Amy Meissner and Ming Stephens. We have been offering these workshops since spring 2022.

All workshops are free and open to the public. The Museum recommends registration, but you are also welcome to simply show up.

These are active working sessions. Bring clothing, gear, or other textile items you want to mend and practice repair skills alongside others. We share techniques, work through problems, and learn from one another.

Building a Culture of Repair

Repair & Reuse is part of my public-facing practice and an ongoing effort to build a culture of repair outside of myself. By making repair skills accessible and creating opportunities to practice together, we can become more familiar with caring for, fixing, and continuing to use what we already have.
